The equipment to press a plastics or similar paste mass out of a cartridge, has a sprung coupling sleeve (20) at the drive shaft of the drive (9), with a polygonal or out-of-round inner cross section, to be fitted to the shaft (10) or with a coupling (21), where shaft/coupling have the identical outer cross section. The coupling sleeve has an axial sliding movement through the housing in the closed position, and the coupling which is not pushed into the coupling sleeve. On rotation of the drive shaft, the coupling sleeve is given a sliding rotation action through spring support and the coupling with a matching and aligned cross section.
