The present invention relates to a method for preparing dispersions of chromogenic components, wherein said method may be used in the chemical and photographic industry. The present invention may be used to increase the coagulation stability of these dispersions when storing the same, while increasing the component concentration in said dispersion. To this end, the chromogenic components are dissolved in an organic solvent having a high boiling temperature or in a mixture of such solvents. The solution thus obtained is then dispersed in an aqueous solution containing an ionogen surfactant substance. An additional linear or cyclic organic silicon compound is added before or after the dissolution of the chromogenic components, wherein said compound corresponds to general formula (I). When n varies between 0 and 300, R1, R<I>1, R<2> and R<3> may be the same or different and represent an organic radical selected from the group comprising lower alkyl, methyl, ethyl, phenyl and trifluoropropyl. When n varies between 0 and 1, R1 is represented by formula (a) while R<I>1 is represented by formula (b), R<2> and R<3> having the above-mentioned characteristics. The method of the present invention also preferably uses a copolymer of general formula (II) where X represents from 5.0 to 7.0 parts by weight and Y represents from 0.2 to 0.7 parts by weight with a specific viscosity of a 0.5 % solution in acetone ranging from 0.1 to 0.5. The dispersion method is preferably carried out using ultrasonic vibrations.
