Bottle opener for sparkling wine bottles with natural corks

The bottle opener has a bottle support (1) to fit at the side of the bottle neck, fitting round the bottle head from three sides and from above and below. It extends downwards into a holding web (1c) resting against the neck. The cork holder (2) can be pushed onto the projecting cork head from the side and can be lifted by a lever (3). At the top end of its lift, the cork holder can be turned round a turning axis (1e) of the bottle support. This turning axis is perpendicular to the axis of the bottle and is also off-centre. The lever has a stop (3b) for the cork holder in its top position, arranged so that when the lever is turned, the cork holder can turn under the pressure of the cork about the turning axis.
