The flexible tubular damper (32) encloses the main damper body (12) as linked to the brake fluid channel (18,20) so the damping chamber (30) lies between the tube (32) and body (12). The body is of prism or cylinder shape and the brake fluid channel has two separate sections (18,20) only communicating through the damping chamber. The tube is ringed by a main support (34) having gas-filled spaces (44,46) between this and the tube so that the respective spaces enclose the damper tube. The two spaces connect to the outside air through an air passage (50) in the support so the tube necessarily seals the passage. The outside thread (52) of the main body (12) stands coaxially to both the tube and support (34) to allow the body to be screwed into component (16).
