PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the apparent communication distance by an IrDA interface by providing an infrared data converting mechanism which receives infrared data having a lower modulation frequency and larger radiation intensity than the IrDA standards and converts them into infrared data handled by the IrDA interface in the information processor, originally equipped with the IrDA part. SOLUTION: When the Consumer infrared data outputted from an infrared remote controller 30 are received by an infrared photodetection part (Ir-RV) 22 provided to a personal computer main body and supplied to an IrDA conversion unit (SIR) 23, the IrDA conversion unit (SIR) 23 shapes the waveform of the Consumer type infrared data received by the infrared photodetection part (Ir-RV) 22 into digital data and then converts them into IrDA type infrared data. |
