Process and assembly fluidise municipal waste facilitating removal of substances

Process and assembly prepare a suspension of biological wastes from a shredded and mixed combination of domestic residues and process water. The assembly separately discharges heavy and light inorganic and biological substances. The novelty is that: (a) following removal of the largest inorganic waste objects, the biological wastes are fluidised in batches in a materials loosening vat (1) with process water; (b) the heaviest impurities descend to the lowest part of the materials loosening vat (1) and are subsequently removed as convenient, either alone or with floating impurities; (c) the raw suspension to be processed, forms a film whose thickness is adjustable and which flows over a sorting bench (15) and a height-adjustable weir (14); (d) lighter impurities are lifted from the bench (15) by a lowered suction hose (16) and are dumped in a container (17); (e) process water is introduced (7) into the materials loosening vat (1) to adjust the dry content to between 8-12 % in the raw suspension of biological waste matter; (f) the suspension of biological wastes is reduced in particle size and discharged by pump to a vat in which heavier particles sediment; (g) heavy particles are washed and recovered for recycling or dumping, and (h) the product suspension of biological wastes is temporarily stored before surrender to final hygiene and anaerobic treatment.
