A suspension device which is simple, lightweight and inexpensive and which acts to absorb and damp shocks and vibrations due to irregularities on the road surface. The suspension device (10) with a crank type axle comprises a crank axle (14) rotatably supported by a bearing (12) mounted to a body frame, crank arms (16, 18) extending substantially orthogonally from both ends of the crank axle (14) and in directions opposite to each other, and crank pins (24, 26) which are provided on ends of both crank arms (16, 18) in projecting manner and onto which wheels (20, 22) are fitted. The pair of crank arms (16, 18) extending in directions opposite to each other are oriented to form a predetermined angle about the crank axle (14).
