The telematic module has a transceiver (6) for communication between the automobile and a central management point (9) and a number of sensors (5) for monitoring respective operating parameters of the automobile received by a control (2) which operates a warning display (3) when each operating parameter leaves the normal parameter range. The control device has an evaluation stage (4) for providing a signal for establishing a link between the transceiver and the central management point when a given monitored parameter lies outside the normal range.
