Plant producing cut sections of tough plastic profile continuously from waste materials

A new plant produces mouldings continuously. Material is fed through a conveying device, to a forming unit. In passing through the forming unit, the contour of the strand of material is determined. In this new system, the conveying device is a pump (5), which is wear-resistant to abrasive materials. Also claimed is the method of making a strand of material. The base material is mixed with filler and/or reinforcing materials, forming a mixture capable of being pumped. Reinforcement improves mechanical properties, filling compliments volume. The mixture is pumped (5) through the forming unit (7), determining its cross-sectional contour. Within the forming unit the material is solidified to a dimensionally-stable state. It is then parted into individual sections. Also claimed is a strand profile body, the new feature being formation from the basic material described.
