Composition containing low and high density recycled plastic

A composition (I) for the production of moulded articles, preferably injection moulded pallets contains 35-85 wt. % purified plastic particles obtained from plastic waste with a density rho 1, less than a set density value, rho x and 65-15 wt. % purified plastic particles with a density rho 2 that is greater than rho x. Also claimed are: (i) a process for the recovery of purified plastic particles (II) from a plastic waste (III) by comminution of the waste (III), washing it to remove the impurities especially metallic residue followed by separating into two fractions-a heavy fraction of density rho 2 and a light fraction of density rho 1 and drying; (ii) a device for the recovery of (II) from (III) by comminution, washing and separation of impurities in a first step and separation by density, drying and intermediate storage in a second step.
