Use of a film for preparing a self-adhesive coated adhesive tape with at least one side involves using at least 10 wt.% recycled material comprising adhesive tapes and/or production remains, where the tapes comprise a carrier in the form of a polymer film. Also claimed is the prepn. of adhesive tapes as above by grinding the recycled material to an agglomerate, extruding and coating with a self-adhesive coating.
