Device for electric arc stud-welding with protective gas

The device uses studs designed at welding ends with ignition points customary for individual process variants. The support foot is connected by support columns with welding gun. On retaining arm of welding apparatus is fastened a bent extension at whose free end the bolt retainer is integrated, this being parallel to the retaining arm, along with an electromagnet with a soft iron armature to compensate for the effect of the arc-deflecting iron masses. In the support foot (9) is a U-shaped cut-out (17) surrounding the welding site after the positioning of the apparatus. The foot has a semicircular bent ferritic hollow profile with closed ends in the edge region of this cut-out and with holes directed radially inwards. It is surrounded by a winding and acts as an iron core. Stud holder (6) is U-shaped in cross-section and its open end, along with that of the cut-out, point in the direction of the free end of retaining arm extension.
