An inlet section of turbine housing includes an internally arranged nozzle housing (8) and at least one through-flow aperture (7) in the region of a flange connection (4,5) to a valve housing (2) for a control valve (3), in which, in the region of the flange connection (4,5) a protection pie (9) mounted in the valve housing (2) is brought through the through-flow aperture (7). The protection pipe (9) is specifically designed as a diffuser, and the nozzle housing (8) is sealed against the protection pipe or tube (9) by at least one sealing ring mounted for thermal expansion or movement.
