A highly reliable transponder (3) for tire which is reduced in size and has no possibility of being broken during a tire is run, built, or vulcanized by using various kinds of metallic components used in the tire as antennas directly connected to the transponder (3) and a tire with the transponder. For example, conductive wires (131) or bead wires (161) in jointless belts (13A) provided in the inner and outer peripheral sections of the tire are used as the reception and transmission antennas of the transponder (3) by directly electrically connecting the wires (131 or 161) to the transponder (3). Therefore, the size of the transponder (3) can be reduced and, at the same time, the communication range of an interrogator with the transponder (3) can be increased without increasing the transmission power of the interrogator.
