Automatic grinder for use on disc shaped workpieces

The grinder has a disc (1) rotatable in its plane with at least four workpiece clamps (3). The grinder has a second manipulator feeder (17) on the opposite side of the disc to a first manipulator feeder (9). A workpiece mount (18) is located near the pick up of one of the manipulator feeders. One of the manipulator feeders or workpiece mounts is capable of being rotated with its workpieces about an axis parallel to the plane of the disc. There can be workpiece centralisers (14) near the pick up at each feeder. Washing and drying nozzles can be incorporated.
