The invention relates to a lock, especially furniture lock, with a rotary knob causing the bolt displacement and with a lock cylinder inserted into the rotary knob. In order to achieve an electromagnetic locking of the lock, it is proposed that the rotary knob (1) be connected to the drive shaft (7) for the bolt (13) via a sleeve (8) surrounding the drive shaft (7), and that a magnet armature (5a) movable by an electromagnet (5) be engageable with a recess (16) arranged on the circumference of the sleeve (8), in such a way that the rotary knob is detained when the electromagnet is not energised. <IMAGE>
