CURABLE ROOT CANAL FILLING COMPOSITIONS FOR DENTAL USE AND KITS CONTAINING THE SAME

Curable compositions which show a fluidity and thus can be conveniently used as root canal filling materials, remain usable over a prolonged period of time, and are excellent in X-ray contrast and sealing properties. These compositions comprise mono-functional polymerizable monomers (A), boron-containing polymerization initiators (B), thixotropic agents (C), X-ray contrast fillers (D) and polymers (E) which undergo swelling or dissolution in the presence of the component (A). Root canal surface-treating agents suitable for the above-mentioned compositions are also provided.
