SOLUTION: A black matrix 2 is formed on a substrate 1, and an ink 4 composed of a coloring agent, a cellulose reactive compd. and a compd. which can be crosslinked with the cellulose reactive compd. is injected from an ink jet printer on the openings of the black matrix 2. The ink 4 is hardened by heat treatment to form a color filter 9. If necessary, a protective film 5 is formed on the filter.
