LIGHT GUIDE BODY AND ITS MANUFACTURE, AND SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source for a back light which is reduced in component cost and manufacture cost, a light guide body that a surface light source is equipped with, and a manufacture of a light guide body by eliminating need for a lenticular lens sheet. SOLUTION: The light guide body 1 has a transmitting lens part 2 and a reflecting lens part 3 formed of lenticular unit lenses made of the same resin with the light guide body 1. The respective lenticular unit lenses of the transmitting lens part 2 and reflecting lens part 3 are concave or convex prisms and their ridge directions are nearly parallel to one another. Further, the ridge direction of the lenticular unit lenses of the transmitting lens part 2 are almost orthogonal to the ridge directions of the lenticular unit lenses of the reflecting lens part 3. The reverse surface of the reflecting lens part 3 is processed for light nontransmission so that light is not transmitted.
