PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the foreign matter intruding into an illumination unit at the time of assembling the parts of this unit from appearing after the completion of a liquid crystal display device, to prevent the defect by the degradation in a display grade and to improve productivity and reliability by providing the boundary built with a liquid crystal module and the illumination unit with a dustproof member. SOLUTION: A silicone tape 34 which is the dustproof member is stuck to the boundary of a back light unit 24 and the prism sheet 28 on the circumference of an assembled frame 26, by which the back light unit 24 is sealed. In case the foreign matter is not completely removed by cleaning after assembly of the back light unit 24 of such device, the boundary of the assembled frame 26 and the prism sheet 28 is closed by the silicone tape 34 and the emergence of the foreign matter from the back light unit 24 does not arise even if the foreign matter moves in the assembled frame 26 during the transportation after packing. Then, the intrusion of the foreign matter between the liquid crystal module and the back light unit 24 and the appearance thereof in the display region do not arise. |
