<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the Internet television receiver that displays graphically a communication state of transmission data from a provider and to the provider on a same display part, further displays characters and a connection time or the like to allow the user to confirm data transmission or reception at a glance. SOLUTION: When the television receiver is connected to a provider through a telephone line, data are sent from the provider. Then a data reception state display section 35 displays how much data are at preset being received by the TV receiver among the transmission data going to be sent from the provider. For example, let the data reception amount be 50% at present, a half of a display bar is displayed in a different color as shown in hatched lines, so as to allow the user to easily recognize the state visually. Moreover, the current communication state of the line is displayed in characters (e.g. 'under communication') on the display section 35. Furthermore, at every prescribed elapsed time (may be a short time interval of about 5sec), the character display is changed into a time display that denotes an elapsed time of the line use (e.g. 00:03 in the case of 3min) so as to alternately indicate the character display and the number display.</p> |
