The power generation plant has a gas turbine (2) and a steam generator (3), with the exhaust gases from the gas turbine fed to the steam generator as the combustion air. Part of the gas turbine exhaust gas is fed to a heating vessel (7) via a branch line (6) leading from the exhaust gas line (1), for removal of the waste heat for driving a further turbine generator, before mixing the cooled exhaust gas provided by the heating vessel with the gas turbine exhaust gas fed to the steam generator.
