A collecting line (2) is permeable to leaked material, and includes a pump (3) and sensor (11) for this material. The maximum concentration of a material, which penetrates into a permeable collection line is detected and located. The novelty comprises leaking solution is electrolysed, and the gas is recovered, to detect and locate its maximum concentration in the collection line.
