An electro-acoustic transducer comprising two or more elongated pole pieces (1, 2), arranged in parallel to each other and at a mutual distance from each other, and comprising magnetic elements (5) wherein two adjacent pole pieces (1, 2) form an elongated gap (4) in which an elongated membrane (3) of an electrically conducting material is movably arranged, and wherein the membrane is electrically coupled such that it is capable of conducting a drive current in the longitudinal direction of the membrane. The invention is characterized in that the magnetic conductor (6, 7) of ferromagnetic material is provided between the outermost located pole pieces (1, 2; 9, 10) said magnetic conductor closing the magnetic circuit but leaves a gap (4) or gaps in which the membranes (3) are provided open, whereby the magnetic field strength is increased in the gap or gaps. |
