The transceiver has first and second distinct areas (2,3). The first area holds the transmitter and receiver, and the second area contains the power supply (12). There is an electrical connection arrangement between the two units (14) and the power supply. Each unit has a conductor plate area (11,13), with the earth and transmitter connected to one of the plates forming an antenna. There are oils (17,18) in the transmitter section to block currents in the nominal frequency band, or to prevent unwanted resonances. |
