A method of repairing generator stator bar cooling liquid header boxes

The process is for repair of the cooling casing of the stator bar (3) which comprises hollow conductors for the flow of coolant and solid conductors. These conductors cross the base of the casing (4) and the seal is made by brazing between these conductors and the casing. The bar is kept cool by hollow pieces, made of a good thermal conductor, in which cooling fluid circulates and placed on either side of the bar. The surface is prepared by cutting the casing in situ and then the cover (17) is soldered onto the casing using induction heating. The electrical circuit is then re-established and the cooling circuit reconnected.
