The hydrodynamic converter consists of a pump wheel linked to a drive, a turbine wheel driven by a shaft, and a circular group of blades. Each section has flow guide-blades. The blade (30, 31) tips in the pump and turbine wheel (6, 7) extend to and join with the surrounding wall (32, 33). The respective walls have recesses to receive the blade tips. The recesses (34, 35) are directed at the normal to the wall.
