The stop valve for a fluid pipe, especially at a liquid container vessel, has sealing shells (6,6') with "Teflon" (RTM; polytetrafluoroethylene) reinforcement at their butting edges (16,16'), and projections (20) and matching openings (19) to lock them together. The swing pins (12,1') of the closure body (7) are mounted to fittings (15,15') in the sealing shell edges (16,16').
