<p>The invention provides a teleconferencing system and method in which a user is able to pause temporarily and later rejoin the conference in real time without missing any data. The system includes an audio receiving device, an audio output device, a compression device, a storage device, and a pause feature. A controller controls data flow between the components. The system operates in a first mode in which audio is received and sent to output, a second mode in which the output is paused and received audio is sent to storage, and a third mode in which audio data is sent from storage to output until the storage device is empty. <IMAGE></p> |
