PURPOSE:To reduce the deformation resistance of the material to be rolled without reducing the strength of a rolling jig by raising the heating temperature of the material to be rolled more than that of a rolling jig. CONSTITUTION:A heated material 27 to be rolled is rolled under a constant temperature atmosphere by the rolling jig including heated rolling rolls 13a, 13b. In that case, the heating temperature of the material 27 to be rolled is made higher than that of a rolling jig. A heating means capable of heating and controlling the material to be rolled and polling jig individually is provided. With this constant temperature rolling method the materials difficult to be worked of a super alloy, intermetal compound, etc., are rolled at the specific temperature. Consequently, the material selection of the rolling jig is easy and the cost can be reduced. |
