PURPOSE:To improve the capability to detect a foreign matter by using the X-ray sensor which emits X-ray, transmitted through a body to be inspected, by a scintillator formed by mixing glass beads and fluorescent bodies, then converts the light into an electric signal by a photoelectric converting element. CONSTITUTION:The body to be inspected which is conveyed in the X-ray irradiated zone of the pipe line 6a in a sanitary pipe line 6 is irradiated with X rays from an X-ray device 1 and the X rays are made incident on the X-ray line sensor 2a. Then the sensor 2a converts the X rays which are transmitted through the body to be inspected into visible light by the scintillator 200 applied to the photoelectric converting element 21 and this visible light is converted by a photodiode array into an electric signal, which is outputted. At this time, the light which is converted from the X rays to the visible light by fluorescent material powder 202 of the scintillator 200 is propagated in the glass beads 201 before being absorbed or attenuated, then made incident on the element 21. Then the electric signal from the sensor 2a is inputted to a processor 3 and processed to detect foreign matter in the body to be inspected. Then the processor 3 supplies a specific command based upon the processing result to a flow passage switching mechanism 4. |
