DNA CAPABLE OF CODING TRYPSINOGEN-LIKE PROTEIN AND ITS PROTEIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the new subject gene capable of coding a trypsinogen-like protein having a specific amino acid arrangement and imparting a protease relating to the detaching process of keratinized layers through an action mechanism relating to decomposition of desmosome. SOLUTION: This DNA capable of coding a trypsinogen-like protein is an isolated new gene containing DNA which codes the trypsinogen-like protein having an amino acid arrangement expressed by the formula and relates to the detaching process of keratinized layers of human cuticle through an action relating to decomposition of desmosome. This gene and its product are useful as a tool for treating unwanted syndromes accompanied with keratinization of various cuticle cells, above all, skin tissues or elucidating its biological process. This gene is obtained by carrying out a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) using mRNA derived from cultured human keratiocytes using a primer designed based on a consensus nucleotide arrangement of the gene which codes known trypsiongen.
