PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide operational convenience at a high level by storing data regarding the shielded area of a route network, automatically starting several vehicle devices when a vehicle enters the shielded area and transferring to the function of a tunnel mode. SOLUTION: A navigation device comprises a navigation 1, a GPS antenna 2 and a vehicle position detecting system 3, and data regarding a shielded area such as a tunnel or an underground road is stored in the navigation 1. In the navigation 1, if the running start of the vehicle after its entry to the shielded area is detected, a proper message signal is transmitted through a signal line to a central control unit 4. A tunnel mode function is started in response to the signal and window raising motors 5a to 5d are started through door control units 6a to 6d. Also, an electric powered sunroof unit 7, a light switch unit 8 and an air conditioning unit 9 are started. |
