PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pit causing no flow trouble regardless of the inclined arrangement of a drain pipe. SOLUTION: A pit main body 1 is provided with a tubular side wall section 11 and a bottom section 12 arranged at the lower section of the side wall section 11. A drain pipe joint 2 is provided with a through hole 21 and a pipe connecting portion 22, and it is provided on the side wall section 11 of the pit main body 1. The hole inner wall face 211 of the through hole 21 is connected to the inner face 121 of the bottom section 12 on one end side, and the through hole 21 is opened to the outside of the pit main body 1 on the other end side. The pipe connecting portion 22 contains a recessed groove 221. The recessed groove 221 is provided around the opening end face of the through hole 21 except for a thick section surrounding the through hole 2 1, the remaining thick section forms a lug 222, and the inner wall face 223 facing the lug 222 is inclined at the angleθagainst the hole axis of the through hole 21.
