PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap with a drill which can effectively drill a screw hole in good response to improved performance in a machine tool. SOLUTION: A drill edge 18 is formed at a ridge part where a wall surface 13A facing to the rotational direction of the tool of a chip discharging groove 13 formed on the outer peripheral part of a tool body 11 rotated about an axis O intersects the tip flank 12 of the tool body 11, and a tap edge 23 is formed at a ridge part where a wall surface 13A of the chip discharging groove 13 nearer to the rear end side of the tool body 11 than the drill edge 18 intersects the outer peripheral surface of the tool body 11. A hole 25 for supplying cutting oil is drilled in the tool body 11 such that the tip of the hole 25 is in the tip flank 12 and the tip of the tap edge 23 is formed such that it is positioned in a range of 0.1×D to 1.0×D from the rear end of the drill edge 18 to the rear end side in the direction of the axis O, where D is the outer diameter of the drill edge 18.
