When the conversion candidates assigned the first priority corresponding to the word to be converted differ from each other, priorities assigned to conversion candidates corresponding to the word to be converted in the new basic dictionary are so changed that the conversion candidate assigned the first priority corresponding to the word to be converted which is held in the old basic dictionary also becomes the conversion candidate assigned the first priority corresponding to the word to be converted in the new basic dictionary.
