<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the axial flexibility, the elastic recovery from composition and the radial rigidity by connecting adjacent hoops with a specific number of straps and by changing a distance between the hoops in the longitudinal direction of a stent. SOLUTION: A plurality of hoops 2 are coupled together with at least one strap 4 so as to constitute a stent. Two straps 4a between a hoop 6 and a hoop 8, and two traps 4b between the hoop 6 and a hoop 10 are arranged being shifted from each other in a circumferential direction. With this arrangement, the stent is easly bent in the axial direction thereof. The intervals of the hoops 2 in the center region are set to be wider than that in the end parts. Further, the center region is positioned at the joint between a body cavity and a body cavity so as to extend between both body cavities in order to make the flow of fluid smooth. This stent can be easily deformed by folding the hoops 2 when a force is applied to spaced opposite positions of the edges of the hoops 2.</p> |
