PURPOSE:To make small the content of volatile matters in the width direction of a prepreg obtained by forming matrix resin into B-stage by charging it with electricity to easily form the resin into B-stage in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprising a conductive fiber material and matrix material is formed into B-stage by energizing it. The fiber material is, for example, felt which is obtained by curdling carbon fiber and needle punch or paper obtained by using resin binder. Since the fiber material generates heat when energized, preferable volume resistivity is 5-1000OMEGA cm. Further, in order that the material is uniformly impregnated with resin or resin is uniformly dispersed into the material, smaller bulk density prevents unimpregnated part from occurring and hence preferable bulk density is 0.02 g/cc-0.2 g/cc. Since uniform heat generation of the material at the time of energization is required to uniformly form the material into B-stage, irregularity in bulk density and weight per unit area are preferably less than 5%. |
