PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile of the shape difficult to separate when mounted on a wall, and capable of applying the glaze to a side surface in a similar manner to an upper surface even when the glaze is sprayed from the upper surface. SOLUTION: A tile 1 comprises a side surface 3 which is tapered toward an end from an upper side 2a to a lower side 4a, and a lower surface 4 provided with a recessed part 5. The angleθof the taper to the lower side 4a is set to be <=75 deg. to make it difficult to separate the tile 1 when a round part 6 is provided on the angle where an upper surface 2 is intersected with the side surface 3 and the tile 1 is mounted on the wall. When the taper is provided and the tile 1 is arranged on the wall surface, the lower side 4 of the tile 1 is fixed to the recessed part 5, and a tapered part of the side surface 3 is pressed down from the top with mortar. The tile 1 is firmly fixed with mortar both from the bottom and from the top, and is not separated. When the glaze is sprayed against the surface of the tile 1 from the top, the glaze is sufficiently applied also to the side surface 3 and the glaze can be applied in a similar manner to that of the upper surface 2.
