PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely easily realize an appropriate lateral seal by applying to a vertical bag-making, filling and packaging machine. SOLUTION: A pair of lateral heater blocks 5, 6 are adjusted to hold a predetermined distance at the time of laterally sealing, and a packaging film is held and laterally sealed with the distance. If a predetermined gap is thus kept between the respective lateral heater blocks 5, 6 at the time of laterally sealing the packaging film, the packaging film may not be excessively pressed irrespective of a film sealing pressure at this time. In addition, the lateral heater blocks 5, 6 press the packaging film to a certain thickness with the above distance, whereby the packaging film can be reliably heat-welded and a lateral seal free from a sealing failure can be realized. |
