PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform cursor display suited to the feeling of an operation by selecting a processing unit area close to a position where a cursor is displayed on a display screen as an area under consideration. SOLUTION: Moving data generated by the operation of a track ball 9 are inputted to a sample marker generation part 10, a coordinate to newly display a doppler sample marker on the display screen 6a is obtained based on the moving data and the graphic of the doppler sample marker to be displayed at the coordinate is generated and sent to an image synthesis part 5. Then, the graphic of the doppler sample marker is superimposed on a B mode image read from a B mode frame memory 4 and sent to an image display part 6 in the image synthesis part 5 and the doppler sample marker superimposed on the B mode image is displayed on the display screen 6a in the image display part 6. Also, the display coordinate of the doppler sample marker is outputted from the sample marker generation part 10 and inputted to a scanning line setting part 11 and a depth setting part 12. |
