PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal gasket for the purpose of cooling the intermediate part between cylinder holes of an engine so as to prevent any breakage of the engine and the gasket on account of heat. SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket is composed of a single or laminated metallic plates A10, A11, A12. The metallic plates A10 to A12 are provided with two mutually closely positioned cylinder holes HC, two water holes Hw1 arranged near the intermediate part between those cylinder holes and slits A10d, A11d, A12d for forming a cooling fluid passage by extending between two water holes. This cooling fluid passage is connected to the circulation route of the cooling fluid of an engine, the cooling fluid enters the cooling fluid passage so as to cool the intermediate part range between the cylinder holes of the engine. |
