PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the filling work of a sealant or fitting work of the spacer to both flat glass plates, and yet to easily obtain a good sealing effect without deteriorating beautiful appearance of a sealed double-glazed unit. SOLUTION: In this spacer, of abutting parts 16 of a spacer main body 15 on both flat glass plates 2, a first abutting part 16a on one flat glass plate 2A of the flat glass plates 2 and a second abutting part 16b on the other flat glass plate 2B are separately provided with a first filling space 19a and a second filling space 19b, into both of which a sealant Q is to be filled, respectively and one of the first and second filling spaces 19a and 19b is provided with a filling port 22 for freely filling the sealant Q into the filling spaces 19a and 19b. Also, a communicative passage 20 for communicating and connecting the both filling spaces 19a and 19b with and to each other, is formed and further, a gas discharge port 23 for freely discharging gas generated within each of the both filling spaces 19a and 19b with the filling of the sealant Q into the spaces 19a and 19b through the filling port 22, is also formed. |
