PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose and deodorize ammonia highly efficiently by arranging an ammonia decomposing part equipped with an ammonia decomposing catalyst for the decomposition of ammonia contained in an exhaust gas in the upstream side position of an exhaust fan in a duct through which the exhaust gas containing an odoriferous component passes. SOLUTION: This deodorizing device 1 to be attached to an indoor portable toilet 2 consists of a duct 10 through which an exhaust gas 81 containing an offensive odor component passes, an exhaust fan 14 for sucking/exhausting an exhaust gas, installed in the duct 10, and an ammonia decomposing part 3 arranged in the upstream side of the the exhaust fan 14. This ammonia decomposing part 3 has an ammonia decomposing catalyst 30 and a heater 31. When the exhaust gas 81 is generated as a result of the use of the portable toilet 2, the exhaust gas 81 is guided into the duct 10 from an exhaust aperture 200 by driving the fan 14, and ammonia contained in the exhaust gas 81 is decomposed by the ammonia decomposing catalyst 30 in the ammonia decomposing part 3 heated by a heated 31. |
