PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezing device high in safety and immediately discovering the leakage of a cooling medium, even when a small amount of the cooling medium is leaked. SOLUTION: This freezing device is provided with a condenser 2 for condensing and liquidizing a cooling medium, a capillary tube 4 for controlling the pressure of the cooling medium, an evaporator for evaporating the liquidized cooling medium, an accumulator 6, a compressor 1 for compressing the evaporated cooling medium gas and extruding the compressed cooling medium gas into the condenser, etc. Therein, the cooling medium comprises a cooling medium containing an odorant selected from a mercaptan, a sulfide, thiophene or their mixture. |
