PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a built-in polymeric antistatic agent having stable permanent antistatic properties by using a copolymer comprising three specified types of specified structural units in a specified molar ratio and having a specified weight-average molecular weight. SOLUTION: This agent comprises a copolymer comprising hydrophobic structural units A represented by the formula (wherein R is a 10-50C alkyl; R<1> is a 2-20c alkylene; n is an integer of 2-20; and R<2> and R<3> are each a 1-10C alkyl) and hydrophilic structural units B and C and having a molar ratio A:B:C of (10-50):(40-60):(5-40) and a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000-50,000. The agent is one prepared by copolymerizing the three monomers, more particularly 10-50mol% 12-52Cα-olefin (a), 40-60mol% maleic acid diester (b) and 5-40mol% polyoxyalkylene aryl ether (c) [the total of components (a), (b) and (c) is 100mol%] and having a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000-50,000, desirably 6,000-20,000. |
