PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a belt in an atmosphere of high or low temperature during its running by adopting EPDM rubber compound as a compressible rubber layer subjected to repetitive compressive deformation when the belt is running, and by enhancing thermal resistance and cold resistance by reforming a bonding layer. SOLUTION: A core wire 2 is buried in a bonding rubber layer 3 in the longitudinal direction of a belt, and a compressible rubber layer 4 is provided with at least one rib part 7 in the longitudinal direction of the belt. A V-ribbed belt 1 consists of the bonding rubber 3 and the compressible rubber layer 4. An ethylene-propylene rubber compound is adopted as the compressible rubber layer 4, and either a chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber compound or a nitrile hydride rubber compound is adopted as the bonding rubber layer 3. |
