摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and highly efficient blood pump which can enhance the drive force thereof by setting the maximum diameter of the blade inlet of an impeller to be small than that of the blade outlet thereof, and by setting the attaching angle of the lower surfaces of the blades with respect a shaft, in a specified range as viewed in a side view. SOLUTION: An impeller supported to a shaft 12 is composed of a plurality of blades 4 each having a magnetic casing 14 incorporating in its lower part a driven magnet 15 adapted to be magnetically coupled with a drive magnet 16 arranged outside of the casing 14 so that the impeller is rotated by rotating a motor for a drive magnet 16. The maximum diameter of the inlet of the blades 4 is set to be smaller than that of the outlet of the blades 4. Further, The attaching angle of the lower surfaces of the blades 4 with respect to the shaft 4 is set so as 0deg < attaching angle <90deg. as viewed in a side view of the pump. Thus, a diagonal flow type turbo-pump is obtained, which can enhance the optimum rate speed. Thereby it is possible to enhance the efficiency at a high speed and to decrease the blade diameter so as to make the pump small-sized.
