PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign matter from mixing into an air conditioner body from a diffuser when the air conditioner is left behind intactly over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The diffuser user driving apparatus of this air conditioner includes a diffuser 100 provided on an opening of a cabinet 1 for sending fan air produced in an air conditioner part in the cabinet 1, a support part 200 for supporting the diffuser 100 on the cabinet 1, a rotary part 400 for rotating the diffuser 100 around the support part 200 in response to an input operation of a user, and a rotation control part 700 for controlling a rotation range of the rotary part 400. In response to the rotation of the diffuser 100 a cover 110 of the diffuser 100 opens and closes the opening of the cabinet 1.
