PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preparation for external use for skin containing extracts from Cola de caballo and from the placenta, capable inhibiting melanogenesis and of preventing and/or treating pigmentation after getting a suntan, spots, freckles, liver spots, etc. SOLUTION: This preparation contains an extract from Cola de caballo (Equisetum giganteum Linne) that is a plant growing in South America, especially in the Andes, and an extract from the placenta of mammals except human being, especially the bovine placenta as the active ingredients. The preparation contains the placenta extract at 0.001-20wt.% and the Cola de caballo extract at 0.005-20wt.% on a dry matter basis. The preparation can be used as ointment, cream, milky lotion, lotion, packs, etc., and for bathing. |
